Inside Sunseeker

Welcome aboard

The Saloon and Kitchen

The interior of Sunseeker provides a comfortable environment at all times of day and night.
The central area of the main deck is the saloon and kitchen designed and fitted as you would expect for a boat designed for living aboard during cruises.
Air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen with a full size fridge, gas hob, microwave, sink and lots of cupboards and drawers provide all the amenities needed for this floating home.
There’s also comfortable seating around the table and lots of cleverly designed storage space as you would expect on a yacht.
When there’s a full complement of guests and crew, a double berth will be made up in the saloon.

The Forward Cabin

Forward of the saloon is the cabin in the bow.
The ‘V berth’ provides comfortable overnight accommodation for two people. There’s wide hatch in the ceiling and windows around providing lots of light and ventilation.
The forward bathroom is located here as an en-suite fitted with a toilet, hand basin and a showerhead.

The Rear Cabin

Rear of the saloon is the aft cabin which contains three berths; a single and a double bed.

Large windows provide ample light in the daytime and there’s a lot of storage space in this cabin. A fan can be brought in to provide additional air circulation if needed.

The rear bathroom is just outside this cabin. It is a full size bathroom with toilet, hand basin and a separate shower cubicle.

Sunseeker On Deck

Welcome aboard
Sunseeker has wide decks and it is easy to move around from the bow to the stern and up to the fly bridge.
The flybridge is a space designed for comfortable out door living and there’s full controls and great visibility for the captain.
Next to the captain’s position is a wide and comfortable bench seat with a panoramic view forward.
Behind there’s comfortable padded seating for 12 adults. In the centre there’s a table fitted with an ice bucket. The perfect shaded area to relax when the sun is high in the sky and after sunset when the lights are on and the evening breeze blows.
The rear deck is open and furnished with sun loungers. Shading can be fitted as required.
Finally the transom is a generous size making it easy to enter and exit the water, the zodiac dinghy, the kayak or stand-up paddle boards.
A fresh water shower head is conveniently located here too so you can rinse-off after water activities.

Sunseeker’s story so far…

Sunseeker has had an adventurous history to date.

She was built in Seattle by the Taylor Boat company in Seattle in 1967 to an Ed Monk design.

Ed Monk (1894 – 1973) is a well known designer of boats. He worked as a Naval Architect and produced over 300 designs for all sizes of craft. He is renowned for simple but strong and comfortable boats.

Since completion Sunseeker has operated as a charter fishing boat and as a liveaboard diving boat. She relocated from the US North West to Hawaii and then sailed across the Pacific to Thailand, a journey of over 11,000 kilometres (7,000 miles).

She has received a number of modifications and re-fits and some significant re-building in the mid-2000’s. She’s has high quality materials throughout, including teak wood and brass fittings.

The hull was originally constructed with Alaskan Yellow Cedar but that has become very hard to source, so Silver Bali and White Oak woods were used where required during the re-build.

Now Sunseeker is available to you for private charter around the islands of Phang Nga Bay and Southern Thailand’s Andaman Coast.
